Welcome
Hope the revision is going well.
The work below is based on the revision guide I gave you in class.
I suggest you use mymaths, bitesize and your CD to help you.
Make sure you have all your equipment!
The last bit needed here is C grade Shape, space and measures. It's hard but worth trying to pick up some, if not all, of the marks. I have put some work on mymaths for you to help.
Number and Algebra C
Hope you had a good holiday. Here is some more revision. You are almost through this programme now. Well done! Regular revision will make all the difference on the big day.
Week beginning 25 April 11
I have chosen the topics we have covered in class. If you want to do more, you will find them on mymaths, the CD and/or bitesize, revision books etc.

Data D
Week beginning 11 April 2011
Over the holidays I suggest you spend time catching up on anything you have missed below.Do lots of worksheets - using mymaths, the CD or a revision guide. Don't forget to do paper 4 as well!
1. Scatter diagrams:There is a mymaths task for this.
2. Stem and leaf diagrams: You want the section on stem and leaf, page 4, but the whole of this section is worth doing.
3. Probability: Try the probability from bitesize. Sam learning is also good.
Shape and space D
Week beginning 3rd April 11
1. Circumference of a circle:I have set you a mymaths task for this.
2. Area of a circle: see my maths
3. Co-ordinates of a mid-point of a line: This should work if you click play!
4. Using ratio for scale drawings: This is also on mymaths!
5. Constructing traingles using a pair of compasses and a ruler: look back at this lesson but make sure you DO some of the activities!(and check you have compasses!)

Number and Algebra D
Week beginning 28 March 2011
Well done for revising!
For the list below , items 1-7 are on a pdf ( Number and algebra revision)if you would prefer to try examples on paper. Do one page each day and check your answers on the next page (should take you about 5 mins!). If you find it difficult or need more practice try using the websites below.
1.Writing decimals as fractions: Try this bbc lesson or game.
2.Squares, square roots, cubes: Try this and you need to learn the square numbers up to 15 squared
3.Use of calculator: Try the relevant page here.
4.The nth term of a sequence: visit mymaths and try algebra, sequences and both sequences and nth term. You may need to do the lesson for nth term. It's been a while...!
5.Solving equations: You have done some of this on mymaths - try "solving equations" if you mastered "simple equations" (or have another go at "simple equations").
6.Multiplying out brackets: try the pages on the pdf (link above)
7.Factorising expressions: I have set you this task on mymaths
8.Plotting straight line graphs: Again there is a task waiting for you on mymaths (drawing graphs). Try the lesson first if you have forgotten this.

1. Pie charts: use mymaths and interpreting pie charts
2. Grouping data:Try bitesize and "Tallying, collecting and grouping data".
3. Using the probabilty scale:use mymaths and choose"simple probabilities" under data and probability.
4. Working out probabilites: use mymaths and "simple probabilities".
Shape, space and measures E
Week beginning 14 March 11
1. Area of parallelograms: Try these questions
2. Plotting co-ordinates: Use mymaths. Don't forget to checkout!
3. Translating shapes:Have a look at this interactive site. You move through the questions by clicking on the coloured rectangle/grid.
4. Enlarging shapes:Watch what happens and answer the questions
5. The angles of regular polygons: Use your CD or mymaths
6. Properties of quadrilaterals:Use mymaths; shape; 2D and 3D shapes; lines and quadrilterals

General Revision
This link takes you to Bitesize. Try Foundation level. This is complex enough to get you a C.
Sam Learning is not brilliant for maths but I did notice last year that those who spent most time on it got the highest grades, so perhaps it is worth looking at!
I hope some of this is helpful
